Van Damme campground is in a beautiful area. Whether you want to stay and relax at camp or explore the neighboring towns it is an enjoyable trip and a fantastic experience.
Bodega Dunes was a fun campground to visit. There are lots of limitations for dogs but we were all able to have fun and relax without even leaving our campsite.
Harris Beach is a very large campground without very much privacy, but it is a nice place to visit. And it is fantastic to be able to enjoy the beach and hiking trails with the dog.
Stillwater Cove was a very relaxing place to camp. There were beautiful trails that easily kept both the kids and dog busy. And a beach that you can walk to from camp.
Doran Park is a great place to camp. You’re surrounded by water so just about every site has good views. It’s dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and an overall relaxing place to camp.
Russian Gulch is stunning. The campground is beautiful. It is small and private. It has beach access, dog-friendly hiking, and lush greenery. And it is right next to the charming town of Mendocino.
Beachfront RV is located right on a dog-friendly beach. There really isn’t anything else positive to say about the place.

Manchester Beach is filled with nostalgia for me. I’ve been camping here for decades. It doesn’t offer much seclusion but it makes up for it in convenience, family-friendly fun, and beautiful views.
MacKerricher State Park has spacious campsites that feel private, with plenty of trails and beach access directly from the park. Nearby, there are numerous fun activities, including more beaches, trails, a spectacular garden, a train, and delicious craft beer.
